NHS Women on Boards

Kevin O'Brien
February 25, 2021

This is a groundbreaking report that was published in 2016. It is a highly detailed presentation of data about gender diversity of the NHS Boards.

The report concluded that the NHS should have a target for 50 per cent of women on all boards by 2020.

They collected data on the NHS boards and this revealed;

  • The proportion of women on boards ranged from 8 to 80 per cent.
  • The overall average was 40 per cent.
  • In order to be gender balanced the NHS boards needed another 500 women.

This report outlines very important findings that are relevant to the UK Dental Boards.

The full report can be found here.
